Hello REV Band Families:

Congratulations to our bronze medal winners, the REV Marching Wildcats.  They have had a great season and have done numerous terrific shows for us.  A big hooray goes out to them all.

The fundraising opportunities don’t stop when our marching season stops!

Thanks again to some diligent work by band booster Darla Stern, our band families have been given the opportunity to participate in a fundraiser that promises to be beneficial to your band students fair share account.

This fundraiser will entail selling concessions to the attendees of the Post Parade Festivities on January 1st through January 3rd, 2015.

What are the Post Parade Festivities?
I’m glad you asked. The post parade festivities will be the float viewing after the parade at Pasadena High School.

What are the specifications?

  • We have been given 3 concession selling days in a high traffic location for this event.

    • January 1, 2 & 3, 2015

  • The hours for the event are as follows:

    • Thursday, Jan. 1 – 9:00am to 6:00pm

    • Friday, Jan 2 - 7:00am to 6:00pm

    • Saturday, Jan 3 - 7:00am to 6:00pm

  • What we will be selling:

    • Hot Dogs – Specialty ones in the main tent area

    • Beverages - Coffee, Water and Soda

    • Frozen Lemonade

      Location: Pasadena, California

Our organization is required to send 20 people per day to man the stations.

  • Those 20 people are not limited to band students and/or parents of band students. The 20 for the day can be made up of band students, parents and any other family members or friends who are interested in helping your band student earn money towards their fair share.

  • All participants must be at least 14 years old.

This is not a REV High School Event

  • Students will need to accompany a responsible adult, not necessarily the parent.

  • A contract will be drawn up and each person is responsible for keeping a copy of it with them at all times.

Estimate of profit per person is $50-$75 per day

  • Volunteers earn 10% sales minus tax for each day.

What do the REV Band Boosters need to make this happen???
    1.        We need one more Booster to volunteer to assist in leading this event.
    a.        One leader must be present each day we are scheduled to be at the events to make sure all volunteers arrive for their shifts and handle other leader responsibilities.

This is a great opportunity for the band and a profitable and fun fundraiser for those families that can use the fair share. We already have some students and parents signed up and appreciate them.  We need more students and family members to make this event happen.  So please get involved and help our students meet their fair share agreements.

If you are willing to be part of this opportunity please respond back to this email or you can also email Darla Stern at

    Thank You,
    Darla Stern
