2016-10-04: Hart Competition

Hello Marching Wildcats!  This email is full of a lot of important information!!

At the end of October, we have one of our most exciting competitions of the season -- HART RAMPAGE!  This competition will be held on October 29 at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, CA.  After the competition, the band & color guard get to enjoy an overnight stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Valencia, and on Sunday, October 30, the group will be treated to a full complimentary breakfast at the hotel and then head over to Magic Mountain for a fun day together! 

This competition and trip require A LOT of parental/family help!  We need help pushing pit equipment & props to/from the stadium as well as out/off the field for the competition, parents to help shine shoes and plume the kids, parents to cheer on the kids from the stands, as well as parents who would like to spend a day at Magic Mountain and be a chaperone! 

Mr. Hollett is requesting 6 chaperones.  Chaperone rooms are NOT compensated; however, your ticket to Magic Mountain will be complimentary!  😀

Room Rate:  $169 per room (2 queens) includes tax & breakfast (student rooms are paid as part of their Fair Share donations.  All others must pay for their own room)

Magic Mountain tickets for Sun. Oct 30 $39.99 per person (adult chaperones are complimentary. 6 spots available)  (Park opens at 10:30am, and buses will be leaving Magic Mountain at 6:00pm to head back to Redlands)

This is a great bonding time for the band as well as all of the Marching Wildcat families!  We only do one overnight during the season, so please consider taking a break and joining us for the fun!

Also, please refer to your calendars that were sent home in August to ensure you are on target for this year's Fair Share donation request.  We hope to have everyone's contributions towards each student's $400 Fair Share donation amount in by the end of October.
