REV HS Wildcat Marching Band

The REVHS Wildcat Marching Band is composed of woodwind, brass and percussion participants of the music program as well as color guard members (flags and rifles) selected by audition in the prior spring. It functions primarily in the fall by representing the Music Department and the school in half-time shows for home football games and in selected competitive events.

REV HS Wildcat Color Guard

Color guard, or "auxiliary", helps bring the marching band's music to life through choreographed routines that visually interpret the tunes and enhance the field show performance.  This section adds color and movement to the field show performance through the use of flags, rifles, sabers, and dance.

Color guard captains and members attend an intensive skill-building camp during the summer to prepare for band camp and the Fall performing season.  This tight-knit group is as much a dance ensemble and storyteller as it is a precision marching unit.  Auditions for color guard are held in late spring.

REV HS Wildcats Drumline

REV HS Wildcat Wind Ensemble

A small, select group of serious students of wind and percussion instruments, fully instrumented and individually independent, study and perform the best class A and class AA literature available for wind band. This group performs many concerts as well as being involved in festivals. Approximately 45 students.

REV HS Wildcat Orchestra

REV HS Wildcat Symphonic Band

A non-auditioned band open to all students who play woodwind or brass. Symphonic band encourages the intermediate student to continue improving in the musical areas of sight reading, intonation, and note identification. Symphonic band plays band literature of level C and B ability. The symphonic band travels and performs at area band festivals during second semester.

REV HS Percussion Ensemble

REV HS Wildcat Jazz Band

A select group of 18-23 students dedicated to the study and performance of representative jazz literature from the 1940’s through the 1970’s.

Honor Bands

Each year there are numerous honor band opportunities throughout the state and local area. All require a audition. They are highly worthwhile and help the student challenge his or her  musical ability. Even if your student does not think they are good enough, just the experience of auditioning is worth it. Note: Many of these bands have a application and or participation fee.

To name a few:

John Philip Sousa Honor Band
Riverside Community College, Dept. of Performing Arts
Application due: After the first of the year.

San Bernardino County Honor Band
San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools
San Bernardino County Music Educators' Association
